Also in the current 2×12-speed version of the 105 crank Shimanos proven hollow construction methods are used to enable not only a visually attractive, but also a lightweight yet rigid drivetrain component.

While in the aluminum crank arms the Hollowtech II technology provides ample weight savings without compromising stability, the Hollowglide construction takes over this task in the large chainring, which is also made of aluminum. In addition, plastic ribs on the back of the chainrings stand for the unique structural design of the 105 series.

In its entirety, with the FC-R7100-12 road cyclists get not only an extremely lightweight, but also powerful crank, whose durable arms provide efficient power transmission. The crankset is completed with the thoughtfully designed chainrings which are perfectly matched to the FD-R7150 front derailleur and guarantee not only a fast, but also precise shifting behavior.
